These Two Ingredient Dough Pretzel Bites are so quick and easy to prepare.  The miracle dough is made with greek yoghurt and self-raising flour - no yeast or proofing time required!  Make these delicious bite-sized pretzels in the oven or the air fryer in under 30 minutes.

If you're looking for a delicious and easy game day treat you can't go wrong with these two ingredient dough pretzel bites.  You can make them in either the oven or the air fryer.

If you haven't used two ingredient dough before it really is so simple.  All you need is Greek yoghurt and self-raising flour and you can use your dough immediately - no yeast or proofing required.

Once you've got the dough sorted you just need to roll it out, cut it up and bake.  Finish the bites off by brushing them with butter and sprinkling flakey salt on top.

These soft, buttery bite-sized pretzels are a carb-lovers dream, with a doughy-centre and a chewy exterior.  And considering they can be whipped up in under 30 minutes, they're sure to be your new go-to pretzel recipe.

INGREDIENTS

Making these pretzel bites couldn't be easier!  All you need is 4 ingredients (full measurements listed in the printable recipe card below)...

  • Greek Yoghurt
  • Self-Raising Flour - Only have all purpose or plain flour on hand?  Just mix in 2 teaspoons of baking powder for every cup of flour you use.
  • Butter
  • Pretzel Salt - or flakey sea salt or even just regular sea salt if you can't get your hands on either.

INSTRUCTIONS

IN THE OVEN

Preheat the oven to 180C / 350F and line a baking tray with baking paper or a silicone mat.

Place 1 cup of Greek yoghurt in a mixing bowl and give it a stir.  Then add in 1 cup of flour and mix to combine.

At this point you need to gradually add more flour in until the dough holds together in a ball shape.  Usually this will be between ½ – ¾ of a cup more, but it is dependent on how wet your yoghurt was to start off with.

Turn your ball of dough onto a well floured surface and knead until well combined.  If it’s still a little too sticky, continue to mix in flour until you reach the right consistency.  The dough should be able to hold it’s shape and not stick to your surface.

Cut the dough into 4 even pieces.  Roll each piece out into a long rope shape, then cut each rope into equal bite-sized pieces.  I usually get 8 pieces per rope, 32 altogether.

Place the pretzel bites on the prepared baking tray, then bake for 20 minutes, or until golden.  Brush the pretzel bites with melted butter and sprinkle with salt.

IN THE AIR FRYER

Place 1 cup of Greek yoghurt in a mixing bowl and give it a stir.  Then add in 1 cup of flour and mix to combine.

At this point you need to gradually add more flour in until the dough holds together in a ball shape.  Usually this will be between ½ – ¾ of a cup more, but it is dependent on how wet your yoghurt was to start off with.

Turn your ball of dough onto a well floured surface and knead until well combined.  If it’s still a little too sticky, continue to mix in flour until you reach the right consistency.  The dough should be able to hold it’s shape and not stick to your surface.

Cut the dough into 4 even pieces.  Roll each piece out into a long rope shape, then cut each rope into equal bite-sized pieces.  I usually get 8 pieces per rope, 32 altogether.

Place the pretzel bites in the air fryer basket in a single layer.  If you have a smaller air fryer basket you'll need to do in batches so they aren't overlapping and can cook evenly.  Cook for 7-10 minutes on 180C / 350F, shaking the basket every few minutes, until golden brown.

Transfer the bites to a plate or tray and brush with melted butter and sprinkle with salt.

TIPS FOR MAKING THIS RECIPE

  • You can use any type of Greek Yoghurt (low fat etc) but don’t substitute for plain as it isn’t thick enough for this recipe.  You’ll also want to make sure the Greek Yoghurt you use is thick and not runny.
  • If you don’t have self-raising / self-rising flour on hand, substitute with all purpose / plain flour & baking powder (the conversion is 1 cup of flour to 2 teaspoons of baking powder).
  • You want to work quickly with this dough.  Put it together, roll it out and cook it ASAP.
  • If you want to get a deep golden brown colour on these pretzel bites, brush them with butter and cook them for an extra 2 mins or so.  Then brush with butter again and sprinkle with salt.
  • If you can get your hands on pretzel salt for these, great.  Otherwise just use flakey sea salt or just regular sea salt.  It still works.

But back during the Covid era, Gigi Hadid shared the recipe on her social media, and ever since then, everyone’s been calling it Gigi Hadid Pasta.

Plus, it's super simple to make with minimum prep time, so even if you're not a pro in the kitchen, you've got this.

Here's what you'll need to make this recipe:

8 ounces or 225 grams of pasta (like penne)
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, finely minced
1 small shallot, chopped (or red onion)
¼ cup tomato paste
2 tablespoons vodka (optional)
½ cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon chilli flakes (or add red pepper flakes)
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
¼ cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
1 tablespoon butter
A handful of fresh basil for garnish
