Air Fryer Corn on the Cob

Corn on the cob is one of my all-time favourite vegetable side dishes and I was delighted when I discovered just how easy it was to make it in the air fryer.
I use foil packets to corn the corn which makes the kernels just as tender and juicy as they are when boiled in water. Throw a little bit of butter in there and you end up with perfectly cooked buttery corn cobs that the whole family will love.
Why you'll love this recipe...
- Easy vegetable side dish.
- Ready in 15 minutes.
- Corn kernels are tender and buttery!

WHAT IS AN AIR FRYER?
An air fryer is a kitchen appliance that uses convection to rapidly circulate hot air around food to cook and crisp it up. It’s essentially a mini convection oven that fits perfectly on your countertop.
CAN YOU PUT CORN IN THE AIR FRYER?
You can absolutely put corn in the air fryer. You can put the cob straight into the air fryer without aluminium foil for "roasted" style cobs, or in aluminium foil for steamed or "boiled" style cobs.

CAN YOU PUT ALUMINIUM FOIL IN THE AIR FRYER?
Aluminium foil is fine to use in the air fryer as long as it's weighed down by food. In this case, you're wrapping the corn in foil so it's 100% safe.
INGREDIENTS

This really is one of the easiest side dishes you'll ever make. All you need is TWO ingredients (full measurements listed in the recipe card below)....
- Ears of Corn
- Butter
How do you shuck corn?
To shuck your ears of corn simply peel back the husk and remove the leaves and silks. Give the corn a rinse and it's ready to be used.
HOW TO MAKE AIR FRYER CORN ON THE COB - STEP BY STEP
Shuck the corn and place each ear of corn in a piece of aluminium foil. Place a teaspoon of butter in the centre of each ear, then wrap tightly with the foil.

Place ears in the air fryer basket, then cook on 200C / 390F for 10 minutes. Flip the ears over and cook for a further 5 minutes, or until kernels are tender.

Remove the ears from the air fryer basket but keep covered in foil for at least 5 minutes before uncovering and serving.

TOP TIPS
- The corn is ready when the kernels are tender. Do a spot check on one of the pieces by peeling back to aluminium foil carefully and piercing the kernels with a fork. If it goes in easy, it's ready to go!
- Keep the corn covered with the aluminium foil for 5 minutes after cooking - this helps keep the kernels nice and tender. The result reminds me of those buttery and soft corn on the cobs you get at a fair.
- Feel free to make more or less. If making more, be sure not to overload your basket and adjust the cooking time if necessary.
- I prefer cooking the corn in foil as I really like my kernels juicy and tender. If you are wanting a more roasted corn result simply pop a little oil on the corn and add it uncovered into the air fryer basket.
- Don't have an air fryer? Cook these in the oven on 180C / 350F for 15 - 20 minutes.
