TIPS FOR THE BEST FRUIT SALAD

  • Use fresh fruit: Opt for fresh fruits when possible—not only does it enhance the flavor, but it also provides a better texture compared to canned fruits.
  • Keep Cool Whip chilled: For the best results, keep the Cool Whip cold until you're ready to mix it with the fruit to maintain its creamy and fluffy texture.
  • Drain fruit thoroughly: Make sure to drain all fruit completely before adding it to the mixture. Excess liquid from the fruit can affects the consistency of the salad, making it too watery or soupy.
  • Mix gently: Stir gently when adding the fruit to avoid breaking it down or making the mixture too mushy.
  • Adjust sweetness: If you prefer a sweeter fruit salad, add a touch of honey or a sprinkle of sugar, depending on your taste.
  • Customize your fruit: For added variety, mix and match different fruits according to your preferences or what's in season.

COOL WHIP FRUIT SALAD VARIATIONS

Image from post content

Although this recipe is delicious as it is, I love mixing things up from time to time. Here is my top fruit salad with Cool Whip variations:

  • Tropical twist: Substitute mango and blueberries with chunks of kiwi and pineapple tidbits. Add a generous sprinkle of coconut flakes for a tropical flavor.
  • Berries delight: For a berry-centric salad, mix raspberries, blackberries, chopped maraschino cherries, and strawberries.
  • Nutty addition: For a crunchy texture contrast, combined with a handful of toasted nuts (e.g., almonds or walnuts).
  • Marshmallow magic: Add mini marshmallows to the mix for an extra touch of sweetness.
  • Citrus zing: Add a splash of lemon or lime juice for a refreshing citrus note that brightens the salad.
  • Dairy-free option: Substitute traditional Cool Whip with coconut whipped cream.

SEASONAL FRUIT SUGGESTIONS FOR FRUIT SALAD WITH COOL WHIP

Opt for seasonal fruits to keep your fruit salad vibrant and fresh year-round. Here are some suggestions:

  • Spring: Include strawberries, kiwi, and oranges for a fresh and vibrant spring salad.
  • Summer: Use berries, peaches, and mangoes for a refreshing summer treat.
  • Fall: combined with apples, pears, and pomegranate seeds for a cozy fall version.
  • Winter: Add citrus fruits like oranges, grapefruits, apples, and pears for a wintery twist.

KID-FRIENDLY TIPS FOR FRUIT SALAD WITH COOL WHIP

Making fruit salad with Cool Whip can be fun and engaging for kids. Not only does it result in a tasty treat, but it also offers an excellent opportunity to get children involved in the kitchen. Here are some kid-friendly tips to make this fruit salad even more enjoyable for the little ones:

  • Fruit shapes: To make the salad more appealing, use cookie cutters to cut fruits like watermelon and mango into fun shapes.
  • Mini servings: Serve the fruit salad in small cups or bowls to make it easy for little hands to enjoy.
  • Interactive: Set up a "make your own fruit salad" station with different fruits and toppings so that kids can customize their servings.

For me, this Peanut Butter Eggs recipe is a holiday staple—not just for Easter. It’s my ultimate comfort treat that shows up during every festive season, including the run-up to Christmas. I hope that’s not weird 😆😁.

They've got that nostalgic chocolate-peanut butter combo everyone loves, but with a homemade twist that makes them even better. Plus, you can dip and drizzle them in any chocolate you like—dark, white, milk—and decorate them to look just like colourful eggs.

Honestly, I first tried making these on a whim. A friend and I were having a lazy weekend baking session, and we had a jar of chocolate hazelnut spread lying around. We decided to see what happened if we added it to our brownie batter.

100g brown sugar
50g granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
200g Nutella

Still recovering from the nightmare of being force-fed stinky and bitter boiled brussels sprouts as a child? Never fear - these Crispy Brussels Sprouts with Bacon will turn even the most adamant brussels sprouts hater around.

Maybe it’s because of the cute color—my kids really love carrots. Especially when they’re roasted with potatoes, the kids go wild for it… well, their dad too, haha. But I’m worried they’ll get bored, so I try to look for different recipe variations where carrots are the main ingredient.

Mexican Chicken Salad Full Recipe 🌯🥗: https://www.cookitrealgood.com/mexican-chicken-salad/

I love Mexican food, so it's no surprise that one of my favourite salads is Mexican inspired. This Mexican Chicken Salad is full of good-for-you ingredients and is filling enough to be a complete meal on its own. The chicken is juicy and bursting with flavour.

It's on the table in 15 minutes. Yes, you heard right - 15 minutes! This does require a little multi-tasking, like chopping salad ingredients while waiting for the chicken breast to cook. But totally doable.

Gigi Hadid Pasta 🫕🍴

Maybe this is the closest I’ll ever get to Gigi Hadid, hahaha. This Gigi Hadid Pasta is actually just a version of the classic Italian-American dish, penne alla vodka. But back during the Covid era, Gigi Hadid shared the recipe on her social media, and ever since then, everyone’s been calling it Gigi Hadid Pasta.

Plus, it's super simple to make with minimum prep time, so even if you're not a pro in the kitchen, you've got this.

Here's what you'll need to make this recipe:

8 ounces or 225 grams of pasta (like penne)
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, finely minced
1 small shallot, chopped (or red onion)
¼ cup tomato paste
2 tablespoons vodka (optional)
½ cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon chilli flakes (or add red pepper flakes)
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
¼ cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
1 tablespoon butter
A handful of fresh basil for garnish
