INGREDIENTS FOR THIS DELICIOUS CRUSTLESS PIZZA RECIPE

- 1 pound ground beef
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
- ¼ teaspoon dried basil
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup sliced pepperoni (or your preferred pizza toppings)
- ¼ cup sliced mushrooms
- ¼ cup sliced red bell pepper
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
HOW TO MAKE CRUSTLESS PIZZA
Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C).

After that, in a mixing bowl, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper.

Heat the olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat, then add the garlic and onion, and stir fry for about a minute until fragrant.

Add the seasoned ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.

Once the beef is browned, stir in the pizza sauce, dried oregano, and dried basil. Cook the mixture for 4 minutes to combine the flavours.

Grease a baking dish with olive oil.

Transfer the beef mixture to the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly across the bottom.

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top evenly, followed by my chosen toppings—sliced pepperoni, mushrooms, and red bell pepper.

Finish by evenly distributing the grated Parmesan cheese over everything.

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
Once cooked, remove it from the oven, cut it into slices, and serve warm. Bon appetit!

TIPS FOR THE BEST NO-CRUST PIZZA

Making crustless pizza is simple, but there are a few tricks to ensure it turns out as delicious as possible:
- Layer evenly: To ensure every bite is packed with flavour, spread the ingredients evenly in the baking dish. A balanced layer of meat, cheese, and toppings will make each slice just as delicious as the next.
- Let it rest: Once your crustless pizza comes out of the oven, let it sit for a few minutes. This makes it easier to slice and helps the toppings set, ensuring every slice holds together nicely.
- Enjoy while warm: Crustless pizza is best enjoyed fresh out of the oven while the cheese is still warm and the flavours are at their peak. Eating it warm enhances the overall taste and texture.
HOW TO STORE LEFTOVERS
If you have any crustless pizza leftovers, make sure to store them properly so they stay just as delicious for your next meal:
- Refrigerate: Place your leftover crustless pizza in an airtight container in the refrigerator within two hours of cooking. It will last for about three days in the fridge.
- Reheat: To avoid rubbery cheese and soggy toppings, reheat your pizza in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS FOR CRUSTLESS PIZZA
Crustless pizza is versatile and pairs well with many sides. Here are some of my favourite serving suggestions to get you started:
- Side salad: A crisp green salad with a light dressing complements the richness of the pizza.
- Cauliflower rice: If you're on a low-carb diet, cauliflower rice will add more texture to your meal.
- Antipasto platter: For a Mediterranean twist, start the meal with an antipasto platter. Think black olives, cured meats, cheeses, and marinated vegetables.
- Garlic bread: If you're not avoiding carbs, serve crustless pizza with some warm, crispy garlic bread. It's the perfect side for soaking up any leftover sauce or cheese.
CRUSTLESS PIZZA INGREDIENTS SUBSTITUTIONS
One of the things I love most about making crustless pizza is how easy it is to play around with different ingredients and toppings. Here are some of my favourites to inspire your next pizza night:
- Sauce options: The sauce is what ties everything together, and there are so many ways to use it. If you want to skip the traditional pizza sauce, opt for BBQ sauce, Alfredo sauce, pesto, or even buffalo sauce for some extra spiciness.
- Meat options: Use ground turkey, ground pork, ground Italian sausage, pepperoni, or shredded beef as a substitute for ground beef.
- Meat toppings: Turkey pepperoni, ground meat, grilled chicken, pork, you name it! Meat toppings pair beautifully with almost anything and fill you up in the best way.
- Vegetable toppings: For those who love their veggies, the options are endless. Mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, and olives.
- Cheese toppings: Is there such a thing as too much cheese? Mozzarella is a great choice for that creamy texture we all love, but cheddar, goat cheese, and even feta if you want something a little more crumbly and flavorful.
- Other fun pizza toppings: Get creative by adding extra ingredients to enhance your crustless pizza. You can try fresh basil, sun-dried tomatoes, arugula, spinach, or pineapple for a unique twist. These toppings add freshness, sweetness, or a hint of spice, making each bite more flavorful.
