TOP TIPS

  • Don't pulse the almonds for too long at the beginning or you'll make almond butter.  Just pulse them enough that they're roughly chopped.
  • Your mixture is ready when it holds together on its own without falling apart.  If yours is having trouble sticking, gradually add a tablespoon or two of water while it's being blitzed in the food processor.
  • Feel free to omit the handful of chocolate chips if you're wanting to keep these refined sugar free.  But if it's all the same to you, keep them.  It's a negligible amount of chocolate and absolutely delicious.
