These soft and fluffy Apple Cinnamon Rolls are irresistible and are great for a special breakfast treat or morning tea.  So unbelievably quick and easy to pull together and made with two ingredient dough - no yeast or proofing required.  These apple cinnamon rolls are best served warm and gooey out of the oven.

These Apple Cinnamon Rolls are the ultimate treat and are a new twist on my classic no yeast cinnamon rolls.  I don't think there's a better food combination than apple and cinnamon, and they truly shine in these rolls.

The rolls are made with my magical two ingredient dough, which means no yeast or proofing is required and they can be ready and on the table in 30 minutes.

Serve these rolls warm and gooey out of the oven for a special breakfast or morning tea, or pop them in lunch boxes for the kids.  They even freeze well so you can dig one out when you're craving something sweet late at night.

Why you'll love this recipe...

  • Quick and easy.
  • Full of flavour.
  • Great way to use up apples.

Do you have an air fryer?  You can make this recipe in it!  Just head to air fryer apple cinnamon rolls for all the details.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

air fryer apple cinnamon roll ingredients on a wooden board.

It's always special when you can make something as delicious as these apple cinnamon rolls without the need for any special trips to the grocery store.

These scrolls are made with everyday ingredients that you can use time and time again.  Here's what you'll need (full measurements in the recipe card below)...

  • Greek Yoghurt
  • Self-Raising Flour - If you don't have self-raising flour on hand, you can use a mix of all purpose flour / plain flour and baking powder instead. You'll need 2 teaspoons of baking power for each cup of all purpose flour. So if your dough uses 1 & ½ cups of flour, use 3 teaspoons of baking powder etc.
  • Butter
  • Apple
  • Brown Sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • OPTIONAL - Icing Sugar / Powdered Sugar (to sprinkle on top)

How to make Apple Cinnamon Rolls - Step by Step

Preheat the oven to 180C / 350F and line a baking tray with a silicone mat or baking paper.

Place Greek yoghurt in a mixing bowl and give it a stir. Add in 1 cup of flour and stir to combine. Gradually add in more flour until the dough starts to form into a ball.

a ball of dough in a glass bowl.

Tip the dough onto a well-floured surface and knead with your hands for a minute or two. If the dough is still too sticky, add some more flour and continue to knead. The dough is ready when it is able to hold it’s shape and is not sticking to your hands or the surface.

Use a well-floured rolling pin to roll the dough into a rectangle shape, then brush with butter and cover with brown sugar and cinnamon.  Sprinkle apple pieces on top.

Roll the dough up tight, then cut into 8 equal pieces.  Spread the pieces out onto a baking tray, keeping a bit of space between each one to allow some room for rising.

Place the tray in the oven for 10-15 minutes or until the dough is golden and cooked through.

Place rolls on a wire rack to cool.  If making optional glaze - mix ingredients together in a bowl until they form a smooth glaze. Drizzle over cooled apple cinnamon rolls.

How to store Apple Cinnamon Scrolls

Once cooled completely, store in an airtight container at room temperature for a day.

If you're planning to freeze some for later, skip sprinkling the icing / processed sugar on top and store in an airtight container in for up to 3 months.

Tips for Making This Recipe

  • Be sure to check out my two ingredient dough guide for all the tips and tricks for getting the dough right!
  • You want to work quickly with this dough – it tends to get stickier the longer it’s at room temperature so once you have the right consistency roll it out, load it up and roll it up.
  • Don’t worry too much about getting a perfect rectangle shape.  I certainly never do.  Just roll it out as much as you can then top with the sugar, apple, cinnamon and butter.
  • Roll it up as tightly as possible and try to cut it into 8 even parts.  This is easier to do if you cut the roll in half first, then half again, and again.
  • Keep a close eye on the scrolls at around 10 minutes in the oven.  You want them to be lovely and golden.
  • If you're planning to freeze some for later, skip glazing them.

I like to zap them in the microwave before serving to warm them up again.  I LOVE warm apple cinnamon rolls.

For me, this Peanut Butter Eggs recipe is a holiday staple—not just for Easter. It’s my ultimate comfort treat that shows up during every festive season, including the run-up to Christmas. I hope that’s not weird 😆😁.

They've got that nostalgic chocolate-peanut butter combo everyone loves, but with a homemade twist that makes them even better. Plus, you can dip and drizzle them in any chocolate you like—dark, white, milk—and decorate them to look just like colourful eggs.

Nutella Brownies

Honestly, I first tried making these on a whim. A friend and I were having a lazy weekend baking session, and we had a jar of chocolate hazelnut spread lying around. We decided to see what happened if we added it to our brownie batter.

Ingredients:

100g brown sugar
50g granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
200g Nutella
¼ teaspoon salt

Still recovering from the nightmare of being force-fed stinky and bitter boiled brussels sprouts as a child? Never fear - these Crispy Brussels Sprouts with Bacon will turn even the most adamant brussels sprouts hater around.

Brussels sprouts really shine when oven roasted - crisp and caramelised on the outside and tender on the inside. Not to mention how simple it is - throw everything on a tray in the oven for 25 minutes and voila!

Maybe it’s because of the cute color—my kids really love carrots. Especially when they’re roasted with potatoes, the kids go wild for it… well, their dad too, haha. But I’m worried they’ll get bored, so I try to look for different recipe variations where carrots are the main ingredient.

Mexican Chicken Salad Full Recipe 🌯🥗: https://www.cookitrealgood.com/mexican-chicken-salad/

OR comment with "MEXICAN" and I'll DM you the link! 🖐

I love Mexican food, so it's no surprise that one of my favourite salads is Mexican inspired. This Mexican Chicken Salad is full of good-for-you ingredients and is filling enough to be a complete meal on its own. The chicken is juicy and bursting with flavour.

It's on the table in 15 minutes. Yes, you heard right - 15 minutes! This does require a little multi-tasking, like chopping salad ingredients while waiting for the chicken breast to cook. But totally doable.

Gigi Hadid Pasta 🫕🍴

Maybe this is the closest I’ll ever get to Gigi Hadid, hahaha. This Gigi Hadid Pasta is actually just a version of the classic Italian-American dish, penne alla vodka. But back during the Covid era, Gigi Hadid shared the recipe on her social media, and ever since then, everyone’s been calling it Gigi Hadid Pasta.

Plus, it's super simple to make with minimum prep time, so even if you're not a pro in the kitchen, you've got this.

Here's what you'll need to make this recipe:

8 ounces or 225 grams of pasta (like penne)
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, finely minced
1 small shallot, chopped (or red onion)
¼ cup tomato paste
2 tablespoons vodka (optional)
½ cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon chilli flakes (or add red pepper flakes)
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
¼ cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
1 tablespoon butter
A handful of fresh basil for garnish

Awesome recipe, added a little cinnamon and nutmeg to dough. Baked in muffin tins; we’re not browning up at 10 minutes so brushed with a little melted butter and baked an additional 10 minutes….delicious!!

Really good. I did substitute zero calorie brown sugar for regular br. sugar. Next time I won't roll it out so thin because I like more dough. Used 3/4 of cosmic crisp apple. It was plenty. Cooking time was 30 minutes at 350 to get them brown. They were plenty sweet without the glaze. I'm a big fan of this flatbread and am thrilled that it can be used for other things. Thanks.
