Air Fryer Pigs in a Blanket
These crowd-pleasing Air Fryer Pigs in a Blanket are so quick and easy to prepare. All you need is 3 ingredients and 10 minutes. Perfect for game day or a tasty snack!

It's hard to find an easier and more widely loved appetiser than pigs in a blanket. They're an absolute must for children's birthday parties, game days or just an easy snack to keep in the freezer for when the mood strikes.
The best news? They're made even better when cooked in the air fryer. The outer puff pastry gets crispy and golden and they cook in almost half the time. I don't know about you but when it comes to delicious snacks I'd rather have them on my plate as soon as possible.
I like to wrap the "blankets" around the mini hotdogs (or cheerios as we call them in Australia) in a diamond shape because I think it looks nicer. But if you want to wrap the pastry more traditionally around the hotdog you can. I don't make the pastry wrapping rules!
WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS RECIPE...
- Quick and easy
- Great game day snack that's ready in no time
- Pigs in a blanket are better in the air fryer - FACT

INGREDIENTS

Here's what you'll need to make pigs in a blanket in your air fryer (full measurements listed in the recipe card below)...
- Mini Hotdogs / Cocktail Frankfurts - we call them "cheerios" in Australia. Or you can just cut regular hotdogs into half, or use little smokies cocktail wieners.
- Frozen Puff Pastry Sheet - or make your own. You could also use crescent rolls.
- Egg
INSTRUCTIONS
Cut puff pastry sheet into 9 even squares. Place a mini hotdog / cocktail frankfurt diagonally across a square of pastry, then roll the pastry to wrap around the hotdog.

Brush pastry with egg wash. Repeat with remaining ingredients.

Place the pigs in a blanket in the air fryer basket, then cook on 200C / 390F for 7-10 minutes until the puff pastry is golden brown and cooked through. Serve immediately with your favourite sauce.

TIPS FOR MAKING THIS RECIPE
- Keep a close eye the first time you make these in your air fryer, as cooking time can vary. Check in on them around 5 minutes and see how they are progressing. They are done when the puff pastry is golden brown.
- Depending on how big your air fryer is, you may need to cook these in batches.
- Feel free to double, triple etc the recipe for how many people you are feeding. The recipe as is would be good shared between 3 people.
- Can't find mini hot dogs? Cut regular hotdogs in half.
- Don't have an air fryer? Make these puffy dogs in the oven instead.
- STORING - Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for a few days. You can also freeze for several months. Simply reheat in the air fryer until cooked through.
