Air Fryer Sweet Potato Wedges are the perfect snack or side dish. They're crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. These quick and easy homemade sweet potato wedges will be a hit with the whole family!

These Air Fryer Sweet Potato Wedges are about to become your families new favourite recipe! They're quick and easy to prepare with minimal ingredients and are absolutely irresistible.

These homemade wedges are crisp on the outside and soft and tender on the inside. They make the perfect side to just about any protein I can think of, next to a burger or sandwich, or even nestled in a buddha bowl.

Or just enjoy them on their own, with a side of my guacamole (try it!) or spicy mayonnaise as a dipping sauce!

INGREDIENTS

Here's what you'll need to have on hand to make these wedges (full measurements listed in the printable recipe card below)...

  • Sweet Potatoes
  • Corn Flour / Corn Starch
  • Paprika
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt

HOW TO CUT A SWEET POTATO INTO WEDGES

Cutting a sweet potato into wedges can be confusing the first time. Here's how I do it -

First, trim the ends off. If you have a large sweet potato, cut it in half horizontally.

Take one half and slice a thin piece off the edge so that the sweet potato lays flat on the cutting board.

Lay the sweet potato half flat on the side you just cut, then cut into 3 even pieces.

Cut each of those pieces into 2 or 3 even pieces (depending on how large they are). These are your wedges.

Repeat this process with the remaining sweet potato half.

INSTRUCTIONS

Place sweet potato wedges into a large mixing bowl, then add corn flour / starch, paprika and olive oil. Mix well to combine.

Place wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket or rack, ensuring they aren't touching.

Cook on 200C / 390F for 20-25 minutes, flipping the wedges over half way. The wedges are done when they are golden and crisp.

Transfer to a plate and salt generously. Serve immediately.

TOP TIPS

  • If you haven't cut sweet potatoes into wedges before I have a step by step guide in this post.
  • No two air fryers are the same. Keep an eye on your wedges when cooking this for the first time to work out what time is perfect for you. You want to cook until the wedges are crisp on the outside. They may end up darker around the edges but you'll find they don't taste burnt!
  • Feel free to remove the skin from the sweet potato if you wish.
  • To make these in the oven, simply add to a baking tray and cook on 200C / 390F for 20-25 mins or until golden and crisp.

Honestly, I first tried making these on a whim. A friend and I were having a lazy weekend baking session, and we had a jar of chocolate hazelnut spread lying around. We decided to see what happened if we added it to our brownie batter.

50g granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
200g Nutella

150g all-purpose flour

But back during the Covid era, Gigi Hadid shared the recipe on her social media, and ever since then, everyone’s been calling it Gigi Hadid Pasta.

Plus, it's super simple to make with minimum prep time, so even if you're not a pro in the kitchen, you've got this.

Here's what you'll need to make this recipe:

8 ounces or 225 grams of pasta (like penne)
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, finely minced
1 small shallot, chopped (or red onion)
¼ cup tomato paste
2 tablespoons vodka (optional)
½ cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon chilli flakes (or add red pepper flakes)
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
¼ cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
1 tablespoon butter
A handful of fresh basil for garnish
